Understanding Cabal Classes for Beginners – Force Shielder

In the previous installment, I introduced the Warrior class, and this time, I will provide insights into another heavy-armored class: the Force Shielder.

As usual, let’s start by analyzing this class in terms of leveling. Force Shielders lack powerful attack capabilities, and their skills have relatively long casting times, resulting in lower leveling efficiency. However, for beginners, the advantage lies in having the highest defense among all classes. This means fewer potions are needed, and there is less risk to health. In team leveling, Force Shielders can excel in tanking monsters, providing effective support. Overall, Force Shielders are not leveling experts, and they should be rated around 3 points in this aspect.

Regarding missions (Dungeons), there’s no doubt that Force Shielders reign supreme. Their exceptional defense makes them more at ease during challenging missions, even though their lower attack power makes completing tasks a bit time-consuming. However, due to the emergence of hacks, the effectiveness of Force Shielders in dungeons has significantly diminished. Compared to Force Bladers and Wizards, Force Shielders appear somewhat lacking in their ability to complete missions. The inherent deficiency in attack power is a regrettable factor. I would rate Force Shielders around 4 points for dungeon performance.

In PvP, despite having formidable defense, Force Shielders face a disadvantage because defense is not as crucial in this game as in others. However, they are not entirely without opportunities. The Force Shielder’s auxiliary skill, Fatal Sword, is considered one of the most practical skills among all support classes. Survival in PvP heavily relies on this skill. A Force Shielder equipped with burst items can be quite fearsome. I’ve seen a Force Shielder in PvP who consistently dealt critical hits for six consecutive attacks. This is the level of mastery that Force Shielders should aim for. With the availability of fatal helmets and weapons, forming a set of fatal gear is not challenging. Coupled with support, achieving around 40% critical rate and 70% burst damage is quite achievable. This kind of equipment is not exorbitant, and its effectiveness is remarkable enough to make any class hesitate to underestimate Force Shielders. I would rate them 3 points for PvP.

In group battles, an individual Force Shielder’s role is relatively smaller, and the team’s strength is more potent. A powerful team must have a strong leader and appropriate tactics. Force Shielders can play multiple roles in group battles, enriching tactical combinations. I would rate them around 3.5 points. Here are a few practical examples to illustrate Force Shielders’ roles in group battles.

In a group battle where our side has a numerical and qualitative disadvantage in terms of Force Bladers and Dual Blades compared to the opponent, the Shield Force is at a disadvantage in this situation. The Shield Force’s defensive capabilities make it prone to enemy melee classes disrupting our formation. What should be done? Retreat to a narrow passage, with the Force Shield acting as a shield, Archers as support, and Wizards as the main attacking force. This can significantly weaken the advantage of the enemy’s melee classes. Archers are responsible for healing and using knockdown skills, while Wizards use large-area skills to bombard the combined forces of the enemy and ours. The skills of three or four Wizards can essentially cover a passageway. If the opponent doesn’t have substantial Archer support, no class can withstand the joint bombardment of three or four Wizards. The Shield Force should not chase; apart from timely potion consumption and self-healing, pay attention to the positions and health of Archers. If you see an opponent with low health, give them a strong attack. If they explode, the opponent will either die or lose a significant amount of health. If they don’t explode, switch targets and don’t be hasty. Opportunities will present themselves in the next moment. The role of the Force Shield in this situation is defensive.

In a stalemate during combat, where both sides are deadlocked and need to open a second battlefield, two or three Force Shielders can lead a small team with Archers or Wizards to attack the enemy position from the side. This creates chaos among the enemy ranks, shifting the war in a favorable direction for our side. Why choose Force Shielders to lead a small team instead of other classes? Firstly, what we need is harassment, not decisive battles. Therefore, we cannot mobilize Force Bladers and Dual Blades, which are the main forces of war. Once they are divided, it may upset the balance of the situation. Additionally, ranged classes have weak resistance to attacks and can be quickly surrounded, making them susceptible to rapid annihilation. This is why Force Shielders, with better resistance to damage, are more suitable for leading small teams in this role.

In conclusion, let’s summarize the Force Shielder class. Their strength lies in their powerful defense, which is their foundation. They play an indispensable role in missions and team leveling. PvP is their weak point, but they are not entirely powerless. It mainly depends on whether your equipment is well-formed; an underdeveloped Force Shielder will struggle against other classes. The battlefield is where Force Shielders can truly demonstrate their strength. Remember, a Shield Force is never the hero of war, but it is always the most reliable comrade. A Shield Force that uses its armor and body to block the opponent’s attacks, one that stands unyielding amid a thousand troops, and one that steps forward when there is no way to retreat, is a source of pride for the guild and an honor for friends. The Shield Force – to defeat my brothers, you must step over my body!
